I don't understand the Coca Cola "Bl-longA-k". I want to pronounce it like "black", but that long "a" means it should be pronounced "blake", right? I mean, it's black coffee with other stuff - not named after some 80's child - as far as I can determine. Who messed up the diacriticals?

The Manolo visits Archie McPhee? Yay! One of my favorite things that my boss brought back from the store in Seattle was a "Plastic Hut", which was a Chinese-made play farm set, in which the chickens were the same size as the pigs, and it was described on the box as "EDUCATIONAL AND FUNNY TOY".

I also got a sheet of stick-on bindis from that trip. Good times.

CNN needs to do a little more fact-checking. El Bulli is not located in Gerona but near a town on the Catalonian coast named Roses. A glance at a Michelin Red guide would have confirmed that. The #21 or #22 restaurant on the list (El Roca?) is near Gerona.

I've been to The Fat Duck which is #2 on ths years list. Extraordinary. Very plain compared to most great restaurants, more like an upscale pub with incredible food.

Haha! I missed the gummy banana slug the first time. I would definitely eat that. Mostly because it reminds me of my childhood fascination with the banana slug that lived in the stump in the backyard. I used to feed it stale Cheerios. Bet you didn't know banana slugs liked Cheerios, didja? But the bacon...eww.

Gummy bacon is odd. Gummy banana slugs are seriously odd. Yeah, I know, we've had gummi worms for ages, but they don't look realistic! Or maybe it's just my dislike of slugs.

Wow! Now I can proudly say that I've been to the #4 restaurant in the world. I'm going to commit culinary heresy and say that though the food at the French Laundry was wonderful, it's not the overall best restaurant experience I've ever had. Auberge de Soleil and Domaine Chandon--also in the area--were better in terms of the whole package. (Now I'm getting all homesick. I miss living in Napa.)
